Day 1

12: 45 – meeting at the hotel “Irkutsk”, 44, Gagarin Boulevard.
13:00 – transfer to Listvianka village for boarding the ship.
70 km of the Baikal motor road– your direct way to Lake Baikal! On the way – meet the guide and the first information about the Baikal.
Visit to the Baikal Museum – acquaintance with the lake geography, geology, flora and fauna of the lake. Boarding the ship, accommodation in cabins. Meet the team and a safety instruction briefing.
Cruise begins! After a hearty dinner, first guide’s event.

Today we sail 215 km along Lake Baikal!

Day 2

We reach the famous Island of Olkhon, which is called the” heart” of lake Baikal. It is here that we see the famous Shamanka Rock – one of the nine shrines of Asia. Surely, you have already seen it on postcards or on television – it is the most famous Baikal landmark.
The indigenous residents of the Baikal region are the Buryats; today we will touch their culture. Most of the Buryats practice Shamanism or Buddhism. In the morning, we land on the small island of Ogoi and visit the Buddhist Stupa of Enlightenment-a modern attraction, but with an interesting story.

Day 3

Early in the morning when the Baikal is covered with the mist, we land in the Small Ushkany Islands and you have an opportunity to visit a rookery of Baikal seals and observe these lovely animals in the wildlife (Please, take into consideration: the payment in cash is made on spot to a National park ranger – 2500 rub/person).
After lunch, we arrive at Chivyrkuisky Bay. You have some time to enjoy swimming and sunbathing. For those to whom the Baikal water still seems too cold, there are hot springs useful for the treatment of sciatica and the musculoskeletal system. In the evening – «Sacred Lake Baikal” quiz in the restaurant.

Today we sail 240 km along Lake Baikal!

Day 4

We have reached the north of Lake Baikal! We land in Ayaya Bay (“Ayaya” – very beautiful). We hike along the picturesque taiga eco-trail to the mountain glacial lake Frolikha (7 km., moderate difficulty). The view that we get at the end of the path is fantastically catching, because the Frolikha is one of the most intimate, untouched pearls of the Baikal nature.

In the evening, if the weather is fine, we land in Hakusy area. It is a natural resort in the northeastern coast of Lake Baikal with powerful thermal springs appearing from the rock in the dense pine taiga. There are small swimming pools there; if you decide to swim-the price is 500 rubles/person.

Today we sail 170 km along Lake Baikal!

Day 5

We come to Zavorotnaya Bay. Today we have a fascinating walk (about 3 km one way) to relict poplars and cedars, some of them more than 2 meters in diameter!
There are rich fishing areas here, so for fishing lovers a good catch is expected. Our chef will be happy to cook a tasty fish soup for you.

Today we sail 135 km along Lake Baikal!

Day 6

Today, we return to Olkhon Island, this time to the northern part of it to the picturesque Cape Sagan-Khushun (“Three Brothers” Rock). Our know-all guide tells you a legend, why this place is called in this way.
Optionally, a minivan tour to the northern extremity of Olkhon (Cape Khoboy). The tour is booked in advance, 1 800 rubles/person, duration 3 hours. The tour is available for the group of 8 people and more.
In the afternoon, our ship arrives in Surhaite area and we walk to the women and men’s healing springs.

Day 7

Our day is rich in activities. We arrive at Akademicheskaya Bay, the “Baikal Dunes” holiday center. At first, we visit Peschanaya Bay and Babushka Bay (1.5 km, low difficulty). On the way, we meet some “stilted” trees, and the aim of our excursion is a beautiful sandy beach in the azure bay.
After lunch, we have an excursion to Observation Rock (2.5 hours, medium difficulty) to see the fascinating and catching panorama of the Baikal. Russian bathhouse on the shore when we return.

Day 8

End of the cruise.
Before we go to Irkutsk, we visit a fish and souvenir market. Transfer to Irkutsk. Approximate arrival in Irkutsk – 12.00
• Meals: Day 1 – lunch, dinner. Day 2-7 – breakfast, lunch, dinner. Day 8 – breakfast.
• The bar works round the clock, where you can buy tea, coffee, snacks, and alcoholic beverages. Any other alcohol on the ship is prohibited.
• Landing/boarding in the Bay of Ayaya, and in Hakusi with the help of lifeboats.
• Sorry, we cannot guarantee good weather, no wind and no waves. We will try very hard to follow the stated program, but the weather can adjust our itinerary. The captain of the ship is responsible for your safety on the cruise, so the last word in the decision on the route adjustments is always on him.

What should we take for a winter trip?

Participants of the tour must have adequate warm clothes for winter expeditions and additional equipment: a sleeping bag, a down jacket, insulated coveralls, a fleece jacket, a warm hat, 2 pairs of warm socks and gloves, winter boots, sunglasses, insect repellent, sunscreen, a personal flashlight, personal first aid kit, a large towel for bathing in the springs.

Is tick vaccination necessary?

It is strongly recommended to have vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis. Ticks are active from early May to mid-July. Although we avoid visiting places of greatest tick-borne activity, insurance of encephalitis is included in the cost of our active tours.
