Day 1

Arrival in Irkutsk. Meeting with the guide. Transfer to hotel in Irkutsk. Overnight.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with the guide. Transfer to Listvyanka. Hotel accommodation in Listvyanka. Ride by hovercraft (hivus) on the ice of Lake Baikal (1 hour). Lunch at the restaurant. Transfer to the Dog-Sledding Centre.
Ride by dog sleds to the snow-covered forest.
Return to Listvyanka. Excursion to Baikal museum. Visit to the local market. Return to the hotel. Dinner.
Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with the guide. Continued excursions in Listvyanka. Excursion to Nerpinarium. Visit to the Retro Park and Saint Nicolas church. Lunch at a local restaurant “Last Century “. Visit by chair lift to the mountain Chersky.
Transfer to Irkutsk. On the way excursion to Taltsy museum. Arrival to Irkutsk. Dinner. Hotel check-in.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with the guide. Transfer to Olkhon Island. On the way visit to Ust-Orda village. Excursion to the local museum. Meeting a shaman, discovery of shamanic practices. You will take part in a shamanic rite. Buriat folklore. Lunch at a local café, serving Buryat cuisine. Transfer to Olkhon Island. Along the way you can see Tazheran steppes. Crossing the lake by hovercraft. Transfer by Russian jeeps (UAZ). Arrival to Olkhon Island. Hotel check-in. Dinner. Walk to Burkhan Cape. Famous and unique – Shamanka rock or Cape Burhan. Named so in antiquity for its sacred meaning, the cape has become the most important shrine of the shamanistic world. Possible banya (for additional price). Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5

Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to the Norternmost point of Olkhon Island, Cape Khoboy. You will see the beautiful landscapes, sparkling ice of Lake Baikal, ice grottoes and hummocks. Picnic under open – air will be cooked on the fire. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6

Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion along the Southern Part of Olkhon island and the islets of the Small Sea (6-7 hours). It is believed that Buddhist stupas are intended to dissolve all the negative obstacles in the world, favorably contribute to the prosperity of the area where they are built and benefit people, especially those who visit these stupas consciously.
Possible Stop at fishermen’s “Kamchatka” and run along to Ogoy island. Return to the hotel. Dinner. Free time. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the pier by UAZ. Crossing the Lake by hovercraft. Transfer to Irkutsk by bus. Stop for lunch. Arrival in Irkutsk. Hotel check-in. City tour, 3 hours. Return to the hotel. Dinner.

Please, send us the desired travel dates, number of persons, your passport and flight details. We sign a contract with you, and on the basis of the contract we will send you the invoice for the prepayment. You can pay by credit card (VISA or MASTER CARD) and in cash. When is it necessary to book a tour?

The best time to book a tour is 1-2 months in advance. Please note that almost all the tours require the Early Booking. The earlier you book the tour and pay for it, the better price you will have. June – September (summer) and January – March (winter) is a high season, so you should take care of your vacation in advance. What's the difference between an electric train and a retro train?

Difference between the trains is that the retro train has a real steam locomotive at the head of the train. This fact makes the train more authentic. The carriages of both trains are almost the same, except that the electric train has two classes of carriage.

What should we take for a winter trip?

Participants of the tour must have adequate warm clothes for winter expeditions and additional equipment: a sleeping bag, a down jacket, insulated coveralls, a fleece jacket, a warm hat, 2 pairs of warm socks and gloves, winter boots, sunglasses, insect repellent, sunscreen, a personal flashlight, personal first aid kit, a large towel for bathing in the springs.

Is tick vaccination necessary?

It is strongly recommended to have vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis. Ticks are active from early May to mid-July. Although we avoid visiting places of greatest tick-borne activity, insurance of encephalitis is included in the cost of our active tours.
