This is an active horse riding tour for those who don’t want to tense, but just want to live in relaxed rhythm with a little physical training.
Arrival in Irkutsk. Meet with guide. Transfer to «Zarechnoye» estate.
Arrival in “Zarechnoye” estate. Sightseeing tour. Accommodation in the rooms. Lunch. Meeting with horses. Instructions in accidents’ prevention. The 1st lesson in horseback riding (in the paddock). A walk to the shore of Lake Baikal. Dinner. An evening campfire. Overnight in the estate.
Breakfast. Practice in horseback riding in the paddock. At the discretion of the instructor (if the group is ready for this) – horse riding tour to the meadow. Lunch. Revision of skills. Climbing to shamanist Mishka Mountain. Dinner. An evening campfire. Overnight in the estate.
Breakfast. The first horseback riding practice lesson “at large”. The route: Marble quarry – the Viewing Point.
The white marble is extracted here; it is for decoration of buildings and other constructive needs. You may take pictures on this place. The Viewing Point overlooks the magnificent panoramic view on the lake that helps to understand its beauty and majesty. The bravest of you can climb to the platform; its height is about 9-storied building. You will never forget the view that you see from there. “Illustrated” plan for the next week. Return to the estate. Lunch. After lunch – horseback riding practice. You will be able to improve your skills in horseback riding, to feel your horse better, to master new skills in horseback riding. Dinner. An evening campfire. Overnight in the estate.
Breakfast. The real march to taiga – 2 days horse riding tour to Barkhany Bay. The path runs mainly on the forest and rural roads and on top of the ridges with magnificent views on the lake. Sometimes, for security purposes of you and your horse, you need to dismount on the very steep climbs and descents. Rest on the way, dry rations: nuts, dried fruits, chocolate. Arrival to the equipped camp. Placing the camp, a hot dinner on the campfire. Overnight in tents.
For those not wishing to take part in horse riding tour, there will be rest at the leisure base – a set of active service (rafting by “bubbles”, rental of bicycles, walks).
Breakfast. A walk to Barkhany locality. Preparation of the horses, continuation of the tour in the back direction. The route runs along the forest road, where some kinds of off-roaders may go. Return to the estate, festive dinner, and hot bathhouse. Overnight in the estate.
After breakfast – farewell to the horses. Gathering, free time. Lunch. Awarding the certificates in honor of ending the tour. Departure to Irkutsk. The end of the program.

June – September (summer) and January – March (winter) is a high season, so you should take care of your vacation in advance. In this case, you will get the best hotels, the best guides and the best programs. However, if you decide to go to Lake Baikal on the eve of your planned vacation, we will still be glad to offer the best program and services due to our vast experience in this field.

Difference between the trains is that the retro train has a real steam locomotive at the head of the train. This fact makes the train more authentic. The carriages of both trains are almost the same, except that the electric train has two classes of carriage.

Participants of the tour must have adequate warm clothes for winter expeditions and additional equipment: a sleeping bag, a down jacket, insulated coveralls, a fleece jacket, a warm hat, 2 pairs of warm socks and gloves, winter boots, sunglasses, insect repellent, sunscreen, a personal flashlight, personal first aid kit, a large towel for bathing in the springs.
It is strongly recommended to have vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis. Ticks are active from early May to mid-July. Although we avoid visiting places of greatest tick-borne activity, insurance of encephalitis is included in the cost of our active tours.
